60 days turned 30

I was on a mission...60 days Raw...That's it, Raw, Vegan, Vegi's and fruits some nuts.....Then day 21 hit...and the grace for this adventure was gone...I pushed through another 9 days only because my beautiful friend Coleen would call me up and say she had some decadent masterpiece called "food" waiting for me to pick up at her house and it was completely Raw. This sweetness would pull me through another day. Its strange, I really thought this would be so simple. Why not? First of all, I already consume almost 90% Raw, 2-3 times a week I do a little fish, organic meat and some grains. And for goodness sake, the 60 days was easy last time around. What was so different this time? Then it hit me, one Friday morning when I met with Mr. Xavier, An amazing personal trainer if you need one who will kick your butt(this part is rated pg so pause if reading aloud lol) He was increasing the weights on my machine when my muscles cramped up and I went to the bathroom to throw up (I know, "sick" and TMI... sorry). I went home and cooked a chicken breast even though it was 9 am. Ha ha..Day 31 100% Raw done....Oh ! I wasn't working out or lifting weights last RAW ADVENTURE. hee hee I felt fantastic at school that day. So that's it. Grace. That is Grace. Listening to your body, making good choices. Everyday! Every choice! Every action.
On another note... I have been feeling this shift...(I Love that saying "Shift Happens") And it feels so SO good. I feel like a little girl ready for a surprise everyday. I skipped to my kitchen the other day even though everyone on Dana Dr. probably thought I was crazy..... I don't get another chance to live today. So I want it to be the best today ever, ever. That's it. I want my kids to know Every night how much I love them. Tonight, I held them like I did when they were babies, I had to sit down because they are quite larger than before. I kissed their heads and rocked them until tickle time. I love those moments. Also I've thrown away with the "poor me" " I'm not good enough" Crap. Pfffhhhhsssshhhhh Nuff of that waste of time. I want to be the best me there is, heck yes, but until I get there I'm gonna be happy where I am. In all areas of my life. I want to leave this blog/ sky rambling with saying, Today's not over. Do something extravagant before bed, talk to God about what tomorrow is gonna look like and wake up refreshed even if you only get 4 hrs of sleep..... And share with me how your doing? I want to hear...I have been loving when people tell me their good news/dreams/visions/ days. Or just smiling.

First really Raw Cocoa

The other day I was eating a cocoa bean and remembering how much softer they are "really" raw ...In Hawaii we had the privilege of enjoying a Cocoa Tree in one of our places of stay. SOOO... I wanted to share my new experience .... They look like foot balls when they are ripe

Then when you cut them open they have a pretty flower outline (my opinion hehe)

Here is what I did not expect.

When you cut open the pod the beans are hidden in slimy white egg like shells. Its such a cool feeling, you peel then out rinse them off and enjoy, So delicious!!!

Ok Ok cant just end it there, I will confess. I did chase Eli with a hand full of them around our Jungle cottage screaming "The Alians have Left me their babies will you help father them?"...Haha Never a dull moment right?

60 Days Raw

YAY! I'm on day 14 of This wonderful adventure I am sharing with friends. My skin started clearing up again, my eyes are getting whiter and my senses feel new or as if they have increased, for example, just walking by fresh peaches at the farmers market makes my mouth water like its the first time I've ever smelled a ripe juicy peach. I find myself so thankful these days. When its warm I get excited, when it was overcast I got excited. When I poured a glass of water tonight I giggled. yep This feels good! I was asked the other day "do your kids eat Raw too?" well of course they do, just not exclusively :) Tonight we made our whole counter into a 'Salad Bar' and we went through and served ourselves up. I love watching my kids pile rich greens with colorful bell peppers, olives, onions, cucumbers, radishes, sprouts, carrots, mushrooms, seeds and nuts.
I recently started a Facebook page (Sky's raw foods) to aid in getting pics up more often and recipes . Keep bugging me for the ones you really want I Love to share :) I Just had Italian again the other day with the Jicima garlic bread...it was just fantastic.

My new Kitchen Is Wonderful and I love the owner she is a doll and makes an amazing cup of coffee!!!! Speaking of Coffee... My 99% Raw New pie has a shot of organic coffee in the chocolaty part ... and it is my new favorite now, haha Every time I make a new pie its my fav. I will try to update you more often on my Raw journey (minus the night dad took us out to dinner Gotta have grace in all areas and just live joyfully)

Seriously thankful that I have had such a grace on making something and it turning out wonderful lately....Which is nice on the pocket book when you don't throw it away lol! This amazing melt in your mouth dessert has the same Irish moss base from my previous post, blended with yummy fresh Organic raspberries, then topped with a yummy cashew vanilla frosting. I sprinkled a few fresh raspberries in there for sparkle and some on top to make your mouth water hehe....I really like the drizzle of raw choc syrup it makes the raspberry's really pop for some reason.....Oh this is going to be sooo good this summer, and will be out next week in Grillabites :) other locations coming soon Whoop! whoop!

New Finds

Rambuten This is the newly found fruit treat I have just discovered. It is so pretty and looks like something that would be found moving sideways in a salt water fish tank. But it is a fruit that grows in tropical areas. I was just informed that it is one of my friend Jenns favorites from Hawaii..cool I cant wait to try all these fruits straight off the tree. I will be visiting Hawaii in May but I already know I will want to move there.
I don't think I can compare this fruit with any other. its just sweet and different. I love trying new things!
On another note...NEW PIE!!!!

It is SO SO GOOD! It is more like a chocolate moose pie than any of my others, I will be playing with raspberries this weekend and will keep you posted on its progress. Until then Head down to Grillabites and try this new decadent dessert and tell me what you think, or order your full pie from my e-mail (shopwithsky@hotmail.com) ;o) Enjoy
